Graham Brown – Lead Drummer

Graham is from Milton, Ontario.  He has been drumming for 20 years and shares his passion for the Pipe Band ‘World’ with his mother, Gail Brown and brothers, Glenn and Blair – all have been / are involved with other Grade 1 bands.  Graham joined PRPPB in 2007, having originally played with them in the late 1990s.  Prior to his time with PRPPB, Graham played with Milton Optimist Pipe Band, 78th Fraser Highlanders and Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia.  As a member of Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia, Graham won two World Pipe Band Championships, three World Drum Corps Championships, and a total of 16 Major Drumming Championships. He is also an accomplished solo player, winning the North American Championships at Maxville six times, the Agnew-Harrison Invitational five times, the Kansas City Gold Medal and has been a finalist at the World Solo Drumming Championships.  Graham has written many drum scores, with ‘Lord Alexander Kennedy’ being most popular.  His career highlight to date is winning the World Pipe Band Championship with Shott and Dykehead Caledonia as a band and drum corps in 2003 and 2005, a feat he hopes to one day replicate with PRPPB.
