I am very pleased with our progress” said Cairns, “the band members had a lot thrown at them in a very short period of time; new music, new players and my style of teaching which was different then what they were used to, all in all a great year with progress well ahead of schedule”.

Graham Brown continues to drive the back end of the band and will be assisted this year by tenor drummer Kyle Heaney who has taken on the role of lead tenor. Kyle came to the band last year having played several seasons with the 78th Fraser Highlanders including the 2007 season when they won the World Pipe Band Championship Drumming and Bass titles. more
